Angela Begres, LCSW is a bilingual (Spanish-English) Clinical Social Worker, driven by a profound dedication to mental well-being. She completed her graduate education in 2012 at the University of Chicago.
Her early experience includes providing child grief services at the Chicago Psychodynamic Institute. Angela's dynamic career path encompasses diverse settings, from community mental health to outpatient and private clinical practice.

She adeptly engages with youth, adolescents, and adults from all racial and ethnic backgrounds, fostering a safe and supportive environment for healing and growth.
Notably, Angela’s passion for mental health education has propelled her into the role of a certified Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Trainer. In collaboration with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing (NCMW), Angela provides MHFA certification training and instruction for future trainers across the nation. Her commitment to nurturing a network of informed and empathetic mental health communities underscores her dedication to making mental health visible.
Our History
Partners for Healthy Lives was founded in December 2015 by Angela Begres, LCSW. The organization strives to promote mental health and awareness through providing Mental Health First Aid training, counseling services, and other efforts aimed at reducing the stigma of mental illness.
